Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern your use of the mugshot.world website and mobile app (the "Service"). By using the Service you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
The Service lets you visually compare the heights of well-known people and of people added by users, side by side as scaled figures. Signed-in users can save bookmarks, add their own people and outfit images under "My People", and contribute to the shared list in the Community. The Service is provided by mugshot.world and is for information and entertainment.
2. Account and eligibility
- You can use the comparison features without an account; other features require signing in with Google.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must do so with the knowledge and permission of a parent or legal guardian.
- You are responsible for the security of your account and for what is done with it. Tell us if you notice unauthorised use.
- You can delete your account at any time: in the app, My Account → Settings → Delete my account; on the website, "Delete my account" in the Account window. What happens to deleted data is described in the Privacy Policy.
3. Your content and the permissions you give
- Ownership: You own the content you upload or create (person details, images, biographies, notes) and the intellectual property rights in it.
- Permission you give us: To the extent needed to run the Service (hosting, background removal, resizing, display, showing it to everyone if you make a person "Active", community review) you allow us to use your content worldwide, on a non-exclusive and royalty-free basis. This permission ends when your content or account is deleted; section 5 below applies only to published community contributions.
- Your assurances: You confirm that you have the right to upload the content; that you have obtained any permissions needed for the image and personal data of the people shown in it; and that the content does not violate the law or these terms.
- Public content: If you make a person "Active", its content becomes public. Review it before you do.
4. Rules
Do not use the Service to:
- upload unlawful, obscene or nude content, content containing violence or hate speech, or content that insults, harasses, threatens or violates someone's privacy,
- upload another person's photo or personal data without their permission, or show children in a harmful or inappropriate context,
- upload content that infringes copyright, trademark or personality rights, or that you have no right to share,
- impersonate others or provide misleading or false information,
- attempt to breach the security of the Service, attempt unauthorised access, send automated requests that overload the Service, or upload malware,
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
5. Community contributions
- Users who join the Community can add missing people, outfits and details. Contributions are subject to moderator review; publication is not guaranteed.
- Moderators may reject, edit, revert or remove a contribution. Spam, abuse or breaking the rules may lead to your contribution access being removed.
- What you add to the shared Community database becomes part of it. When your account is deleted, published contributions and the additions or changes you made to other people's entries may stay, detached from your account (anonymised). If you want a specific contribution removed, write to us; we will assess the request in line with the law and legitimate grounds.
6. Third-party services and AI tools
For creating outfit images we may send you to independent tools such as Google Gemini, ChatGPT or Grok. We are not affiliated with them; their use is subject to their own terms and policies (for example, their rules about uploading someone else's photo or generating images of real people). We do not guarantee the accuracy, suitability or legal status of what those tools produce, and you are responsible for the lawfulness of any image you upload. The brands mentioned belong to their owners.
7. Intellectual property and copyright / rights notices
The software, design and brand of the Service belong to us. We have no connection, affiliation or endorsement relationship with the people whose names or likenesses appear in the Service, or with related brands; they appear for information only and belong to their respective rights holders.
If you believe content infringes your copyright, personality or other rights, or you are a person whose name or likeness appears on the site and you want it removed, email info.lineapp.store@gmail.com with:
- who you are and that you hold the right concerned or act on behalf of the rights holder,
- where the content is (the person's name or share link and, if possible, the image address),
- why you believe your right is infringed,
- a statement that your notice is made in good faith and is accurate, and your contact details.
We review notices promptly and, where appropriate, remove the content or disable access to it. We may give the user who added the content an opportunity to object. We may close the accounts of repeat infringers. This process takes into account our obligations under Turkish Law No. 5846 (Intellectual and Artistic Works) and Law No. 5651, and comparable notice-and-takedown procedures elsewhere.
8. Accuracy of information
Heights and other details are approximate values based on general sources and may be wrong or out of date. The figures on the site are not photographs but illustrations that represent the people (they may be AI-assisted). The Service is not professional, medical or legal advice. If you think something is wrong, tell us or flag it through the Community.
9. Changes, suspension and termination
We may change, interrupt or discontinue the Service or any feature. If you break these terms or the law, we may suspend, restrict or close your account and content without notice. You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available"; we give no express or implied warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profit, arising from use of or inability to use the Service; subject to cases that cannot be limited by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service (the Service is free). Your statutory consumer rights that cannot be waived remain unaffected.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. For consumer transactions, the consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts under Law No. 6502 are competent; for other disputes, the Turkish courts and enforcement offices at the operator's place of residence are competent. Mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live remain unaffected.
12. iOS app (Apple)
These terms are between you and mugshot.world only; Apple Inc. ("Apple") is not a party. We, not Apple, are responsible for maintaining and supporting the app and for any claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies on iOS; if the two conflict, that agreement prevails.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page and the "Last updated" date at the top changes. We will announce material changes in the app or on the website. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
